Alumni, please submit current picture, news, and bio to:

Alumni and others often
compliment us on our web site. But it has been difficult to get the necessary
current write-ups and photographs to keep the alumni page current. We will do
our best to make this process easier, with an admission form, etc. Look for this
form soon.
By popular demand, a WTYC
alumni Choir will be formed by those who are able to participate. What
fun!
Each year, numerous requests are made to have the WTYC/WTCC
choirs sing for many fine local events. due to school policy and schedules it is
not often possible to comply with such requests. although not mandatory, those
alumni who CAN participate, often on short notice, can fill this role somewhat.
The alumni choir, comprised of accomplished singers and occasional guest
musicians from the community will require very little practice. any
practices which are needed will be held at a mutually agreeable time.
You will all be interested
to know that your friend and former teacher, Mrs. Wright, Has contracted
with Gaylord Entertainment and The Grand Ole Opry--to produce an annual Crossroads
Children's Chorus Festival beginning in the summer of 2008., where
all music paths cross.
This exciting event will invite other community children's
choruses of similar caliber as the WTYC to participate in a wonder sharing of
the various genres of music: Classical, County, Bluegrass, and many others.
Children will be exposed to celebrity guests in each genre.
The premise of the Crossroads festival is a discovery of the common roots
of music.
The Nashville Crossroads Music Festival is destined to become an
important part of the Nashville Music Landscape. Many alumni may be interested
in participating and assisting Mrs. Wright in this production.
Alumni are invited to submit a photo. Jpeg and a bio will let others know what you are now up
to. as you know the bonds of the choir are wide and deep.
